The burgeoning practice of certified Pilates instructor Susan Welsh reached a point where it needed to streamline and gear up.
The transition from home-based studio to multi-site operation was steady but as every small entrepreneur knows, your back office needs to grow with you.
Remarkable Design Co. was tasked with carrying forth with the existing logo and working to simplify the client experience by creating a website that was lean, easy to use and visually representative of the brand.
Marrying Susan's own studio schedule with her programs in other facilities in the area, we were able to give her broad range of clients a full view of her Pilates practice and make reserving a spot in any class, at any location, a one-stop shop.
By integrating the powerful MindBody scheduling software into her now more minimal website, the client is met with an intuitive platform for booking and payment online while at the same time Susan is delivered a powerful back-end infrastructure that lightens her bookkeeping load and leaves her well-positioned to grow exponentially. On the Calendar page, with a hover and a click, clients are quickly reserving their spot in class and Susan has secured payment, received an authorized waiver and sent an auto-email confirming the entire transaction.
The second aim of this new chapter was to incorporate a social media presence into the branding. By creating strong voice and visual templates for a weekly newsletter as well as Facebook and Instagram accounts, Remarkable Design Co. got the ball rolling and provided an easy transition for Susan to carry forward and expand.

Park Advisors reconnected with us looking to punch up their website by streamlining and tightening the overall layout to keep in step with the company's evolution.
Remarkable Design Co. created a single-page design that opens with a dynamic video montage and moves seamlessly through concise company details into a visual slideshow that offers visitors a sampling of past projects. A comprehensive understanding of the company can be gleaned without a click. The contact section makes reaching out effortless and the footer bar subtly guides those in the industry to employment opportunities at Park.
It is a particular thrill that the new site was rolled out in conjunction with their government-affliated presentations on the margins of the UN General Assembly in New York this September and that our logo and business cards designs made the rounds in Midtown as they have in Washington D.C., The Hague, Djibouti, Tunis and beyond.

The directive for the Park Advisors website was to offer a glimpse into the consultancy that was comprehensive enough to round out a conversation but open enough to entice a closer look.
Drawing on images taken in the field by its principals and paired with both a straightforward design and tightly edited text, Park Advisors puts forth its place within the industry - one of experience, trust, ambition and dynamism.
Behind-the-scenes incorporation of connections across social media and networking platforms works to maximize SEO. Additionally, folded into the site is a glimpse into the street-level goings-on of the partners via Instagram as well as a password-protected porthole for servicing the needs of existing clients.

Athletica Food & Fitness is a beloved local business well known for helping clients discover a life optimized by health and wellness. From one-on-one, high-intensity personal training sessions to inventive boot camps held in pristine locations around Shawnigan Lake, Athletica is the antithesis of weight rooms and powdery drinks.
After ten successful years, Krista's interest in a complete rebranding was rooted in bringing the look and feel of her business in step with the client experience of her vision. It was the perfect time to build a fresh website from the ground up. Working with a new logo created by Athletica's graphic designer, Remarkable used the various types of services offered as a design foundation allowing room for ideas launching in 2016, including e-commerce, to be added seamlessly.
Arguably, the most important feature of the website is the calendar. Krista's twice-a-week bootcamps and free family hikes take such advantage of the area's natural surroundings that the location is almost always different. The calendar was developed to engage the eye with photographic icons as date markers. A quick hover gives the seasoned client the nuts-and-bolts details for the day while a click opens up an event page offering an interactive map and detailed directions. Helpfully, adding dates from Athletica's calendar to your personal Google or iCloud calendar is practically effortless.
Across the site, simplified and polished features invite potential clients to look inside training sessions and boot camps. As well, pricing, essential forms, social media links and contact info are easy to find making Athletica's new website completely efficient, a pleasure to use and perfectly positioned to grow.
After 15 years in business, the Bean Around The World - Main & 20th is embarking upon a slow-burn celebration of their place in the neighbourhood.
Looking for an iconic image to represent this sense of community, Remarkable commissioned an illustration by Victoria-based artist Terri-Lynn Papagiannis to use as a jumping off point for this celebratory brand update.
Imbued with bustle and whimsy, the illustration anchors a revitalized website that leads with a regularly updated blog highlighting the curated monthly art program and goings-on in the Bean Around The World community alongside an engaged social media presence.
At the ready with simple, static dropdown navigation are substantial details on the less-frequently changing catalog of coffee and bakery offerings refreshed by full-width banner photography and lighthearted graphic icons.

Searching for a way to highlight this coffee shop and its parent company's many strengths within the industry, a simple, manageable site was designed with regular updates in mind.
While the core menu of locally, custom-roasted coffee and house-made baked goods changes little over the year, a rotating art program and seasonal offerings demand an engaged and adaptable platform.
Remarkable Design Co. worked with The Bean to roll out multiple blog posts laying the foundation for the look and voice of the company. This format continues to evolve allowing space for the company to highlight interests of the moment including individual coffee producers and one-off events.
Linked with multiple social media accounts, the opportunity to stay connected with customers and colleagues is always at the ready.
